XC Uniform Shorts
Hey WacXC! FYI - as of Fall of 2025, we are moving away from providing “shorts” to our athletes as part of the school issued uniform. YES…we are providing Race Tops, but we are now going to require ALL athletes to purchase their own “bottoms” (shorts) as part of our official uniform. We are going to continue the tradition of Gray Top and Black bottom “look” for the Gray Train and below you will find 2 options for parents/athletes to choose from. Note: we are not doing any type of “group order” and shorts should be purchased individually prior to start of the season & ALL athletes should be able to find the “fit” that works for them, whether it is lined/unlined, mid-rise/high rise, etc!
Option #1 - “All in Motion” Target Branded Product CLICK HERE
All in Motion is a series of active wear products sold by Target and are a VERY reasonably priced option. ($12 to 25) FYI - I (Gilbert) personally bought a pair of the 7inch Unlined Running shorts 2 years ago and they are bomber…have tried to destroy these things and the fit, color, shape have lasted…literally still look new! PLEASE order/pick up ALL BLACK…a few options are decorated with a white “pipping” at the edge and we need to stay away from these options. Per MSHSL uniform rules/and to keep the sharp look of our team…ALL BLACK is a must!

Men = 3” Active Run Lined, 5” Active Run Light Lined & Unlined, 7” Run Lined & Unlined
Women* = ALL Flex Woven & Lazer Cut High/Mid Rise Shorts and ALL Dynamic Flex/Soft Ultra Bike shorts
*Coach Gilbert has not personally tried on any of the lady options, but the fabric/sheen of the entire “All in Motion” black active wear does appear to be the same throughout the collection of both Men & Women products

Lulu…yep NOT exactly the “cheap” option, but basically the industry standard in regards to active/running wear in today’s world of endless options. ($60 to 80) Lulu branded items do stand up over time and continue to create popular sought after products. (if you are reading this and have a daughter*, welp I need not say more) *or a wife…I think we have a line item in our family budget for mom’s Lulu…all kidding aside my wife swears by the Lulu fit, quality, and warranty…they stand by their product!

Men = Black Pace Breaker Series 5” or 7” in lined or unlined (easy peasy)
Women** = Black Hotty Hot Series for Shorts and Align Series for Spandex
**disclosure…I did not take part in the naming of ANY above lady products AND “not so easy peasy” with the options because it seems that the ladies have quite a few options, but stay with the regular black color option within Lulu and you will be fine! TONs of shape, sizes and cuts…all athletes will be able to seek out something they feel comfortable and confident in! #BAM
